Longline bikinis

|| one || two || three || four || five ||

It's January. It's probably raining. So holidays should be the last thing on your mind. Just thinking about it is threatening to sabotage my exam and interview performance, but I can't help it. If everything goes well - getting a uni offer, getting the grades, making it through the anguish of waiting for the next (mercifully confirmed) new Sherlock - this summer should be one of my most blissful.

It's hard to find modest swimwear amongst the masses of tiny stringy triangle thingies, but I am really liking these longline bikinis. They look more like a bustier (I like bustiers) and they can be worn on their own like a crop top.

Will you be doing anything cool this summer?

  1. Those are really nice!

    Summer is so far away but I hope I'll travel around my country :)

    1. Some people get really excited about going abroad but very often, there's lots of places in one's own country worth seeing. I like holidaying in UK simply because I'm lazy and hate travelling, haha xP

  2. I love the more 'covered up' bikinis - I'm on the beach to get a tan and have a swim (and maybe build a few sandcastles...) so I always want to be comfortable. Last year I bought a great red costume with frills around the bottoms to hide the legs, I was super pleased with it! Then my mum told me she'd just bought the same one...

    That red polka dot one is lovely :)

    1. Beaches are fundamentally very uncomfortable places - windy, cold (in UK anyway) and sand gets -everywhere-. But I looooove paddling in the waves and building sandcastles and sculptures, and trying to manipulate those little rivers of water flowing back to the sea. I never win against the rivers though - no matter how many canals and dams I make, gravity and erosion always wins, and nature's power impresses me.

  3. I really like those. I've actually been a fan of that style for a long time, but I'e never managed to buy a bikini like that. I thin, one I lose the few extra pounds I want to this winter/spring, I might splurge on a buying a new swimsuit for this summer like the ones you have pictured. :)

    I probably won't be doing much cool this summer, like every summer. Not wealthy enough to do traveling like I want to (yet!), so my only plans is to go to an Anime Convention. Which is still fun!

    1. It's great that you have something like the anime convention to look forward to - it keeps you going, doesn't it? Cool places in the world aren't going to run away from you so you can look forward to travelling in the further future :3
      Thanks for your comment again <3

  4. Aww, I never wear swimsuits - I don't swim at all and at the beach I usually wear skirt and T-shirt because I can't expose myself to sun.

    This summer I'm propably going to attend some anime conventions and maybe visit the sea.
